Bear Lake

We just got back from your first vacation. We went to Bear Lake with Dad's family.  We just went for the weekend so it was a quick trip but it was fun.  We spend the morning on Saturday at the beach watching Kayzin, Sophie, Michael, Brent, and Hunter play in the water.  Daddy took Kayzin out on the wave runner for a little bit and Grandpa had the boat that everyone went on.  We stayed on the beach but maybe next time we can go on the boat:) You had some play time on the bed with Joshua and he fell forward and hit your face with his teeth.  You got this real sad look on your face and then started crying it was pretty sad but it was the first time you got hurt. 

When we first got to the Cabin Kayzin helped us carry in your diaper bag and said 'I'll show you your room!  and your baby can sleep on the bunk bed!'

I love you lots and I'm glad I got to spend this weekend with you!  You are so loved by everyone! and everyone wants to hold and cuddle you!

Hey little Taiyden

I'm currently sitting on the couch in the front room holding you while you sleep. You're so adorable. You make the cutest faces when you sleep. It's nice because you always seem so sad when you're awake. I know it's because of how much you are growing. You are amazing! But I'm excited to see your sweet smile and hear your laugh. You just started crying a little in your sleep. I wonder what you're dreaming of. You must have a bubble but you can't decide if you'd rather sleep or get it out.

As I sit here and stare at you it's hard for me to see you getting bigger since I see you everyday. But I notice small things like your ears and hands are bigger. Speaking of your hands they're miniature versions of your dads. I love it. I hope you grow up to be just like him. He's a great guy. You're waking up so I must go but I love you with all my heart!

Welome to the world

My sweet Taiyden,

I'm so happy you are here on earth with us.  I can't believe how amazing you are.  You have brought us so much happiness and bit of lack of sleep. But when I look into your eyes I know you were meant to be mine. When we first brought you home you were a little bit jaundiced so we had to keep you on these special lights.  They brought us a bed and a blanket with the lights.  You HATED the bed and would tolerate the blanket so long as someone was holding you with it.

You're doing much better now and starting to sleep more. although we can't get you to sleep in lying down for very long.  You sleep in your bouncer alot. We are so proud of you and love you very much!!

311 day was tons of fun and you kicked all the way through Taiyed. Also a fun fact it was the 311th time that Taiyed was performed on stage. You're getting pretty big, and kicking me in the ribs a lot. I'm getting more and more anxious to meet you!




I've been working on your nursery some.

Kick counts and 3rd trimester

So the Doctor has asked us to do kick counts with you.  That means I have to lay down for 2 hours everyday and wait for you to kick 10 times.  You are a rock star though and usually kick 10 times before 15 minutes have even passed! We got to see you again at our last appointment, the doctor gave us a video but we didn't get any pictures:(

Dad and I are about to leave for 311 day in Vegas!! It's our 2 year anniversary and your very first concert.  A pretty awesome one if I do say so myself!  Speaking of 311 they were talking about you!  You're famous already! check it out!

Little kicker

Hey little man! You've been moving a lot more lately. Today I saw bump for a split second in my stomach.. It's so cool, weird, and crazy awesome at the same time. You're more than half way ready to come greet the world!

It's been an emotional week in the Gabbitas family. Hopefully you won't have to know any of the crazy that we've seen this week. Hopefully it'll all get better. But whenever I get sad or feel alone you give me a little kick and I remember I have you and your dad. Love you Taiyden! Always and forever!

You have a name!

We've been waiting to tell everyone your name because we wanted to be sure of if we were having a boy or a girl. Now we know that you are a boy!! We are soooo excited too!

So we are naming you Taiyden Seth Gabbitas.  It's after a 311 song called Taiyed. I talked more in detail about your name on our other blog you can see that here

We had our ultrasound today.  The one that came with a DVD.  You were so wiggly we had a hard time checking your heart rate. But I loved that you were wiggly it was way cute! Your uncle Ryan came with to see you.  I think he's pretty excited about you.  He'll be the one teaching you to snowboard.  The doctor told him that you would have him wrapped around your finger in no time. Uncle Ryan laughed but I know its true.  You already have me wrapped around your tiny adorable finger!
